And it was good.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitamix.com\/Find-Recipes\/N\/O\/Not-So-Cheese-Sauce\" title=\"Not-So Cheese Sauce \/ Vitamix\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Reprinted here: <\/p>\n<p>Yield:<br \/>\n2 cups (480 ml)<\/p>\n<p>Total Time:<br \/>\n20 Minutes<\/p>\n<p>Difficulty:<br \/>\nIntermediate<br \/>\n(Pop veg note: It&#8217;s not intermediate &#8211; it&#8217;s superbly simple) <\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>1 cup (240 ml) water<br \/>\n2 Tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice<br \/>\n1\/4 cup (50 g) canned pimentos, drained<br \/>\n2\/3 cup (70 g) whole raw almonds<br \/>\n1 1\/4 teaspoons onion powder<br \/>\n1\/4 cup (30 g) nutritional yeast<br \/>\n2 teaspoons Kosher salt<br \/>\nDirections<\/p>\n<p>Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.<br \/>\nSelect Variable 1.<br \/>\nTurn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.<br \/>\nBlend for 3 minutes or until heavy steam escapes from the vented lid.<br \/>\nThis vegan &#8220;cheese&#8221; sauce is perfect as a nacho dip or served over macaroni.<\/p>\n<p>This recipe has been written for the Vitamix 5200 with Standard 64-ounce container.
