These are wonderful… and made using Follow Your Heart “Vegan Egg”… in the recipe, and assembled afterward as a vegan “sausage, egg” and Cheese Biscuit. Mmmmm

Goodness in a Flash

This easy to make and delicious to eat recipe comes from the kitchen of necessity.  No idea why anyone would make this in a non-vegan way… but so often something like this has chicken in it. Just don’t understand. 

Well… here it is in all its vegan glory.  Use it the enchilladas, or burritos, or whatever sounds great. Enjoy!

 

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS:
    3 tablespoons (not canola or corn) oil
    1 tablespoon flour (GF is fine)
    1/4 cup chili powder
    2 cups veggie broth or stock
    10 ounces tomato paste
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/2 teaspoon salt

Step by Step Instructions

  • Start with a roux… with the flour and the oil over medium heat. Then add the chili powder… continuing to stir for just a minute. 
  • Add all other ingredients… stirring regularly… and bring to a simmer. 
  • Let simmer for 15 minutes or more.
